13TH. ANNUAL CAPTAIN TAMARA LONG ARCHULETA MEMORIAL OPEN KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
On October 20, 2018 Belen Goju Ryu Karate hosted their 13th. Annual Captain Tamara Long Archuleta Memorial Open Karate Championships at the Belen High School Gymnasium. The tournament was a great success. More than 170 competitiors were there, along with a large (55+) group from us, the host school, Belen Goju Ryu Karate. The event was held at the Belen High School gymnasium and local businesses helped support the show. The tournament’s success enabled $3.500 to go to the Capt. Tamara Long-Archuleta Scholarship program, which has been the best yet. Sensei Richard and Sensei Cindy are thankful for everyone’s support and are looking forward to next year’s tournament the 14th. Annual Captain Tournament (our short name for the event) on October 19, 2019. This will be the 36th tournament hosted by us.
